Chief Executive Officer
Tom Kirk joined American Surgical Professionals as Chief Executive Officer in June of 2013. Prior to joining American Surgical Professionals, Mr. Kirk served as CEO and Director of Hanger, Inc. in Austin, TX, as well as Principal at Jay Alix & Associates in Southfield, MI. He has also held several leadership positions in large corporations serving in many positions, including finance, planning, and market development. Tom Kirk holds a PhD and an MBA from University of Pittsburgh, and a BS in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Chief Financial Officer
David Richardson joined American Surgical Professionals as the Chief Financial Officer in April of 2011. Richardson has a significant and extensive healthcare background. He has previously served in a multitude of positions for several healthcare companies, both in public and private sectors. His broad experience has seen him in roles of Chief Financial Officer, Vice President, and Corporate Controller of various healthcare companies since 2001. Prior to serving in these roles, he worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP for seven years. David has a BBA from Lamar University, and is also a licensed CPA.
Chief Operating Officer
Luis Aragon began his employment with American Surgical Professionals in December of 2011 when his previous companies were acquired, wherein he held positions of Managing Partner and Owner / Co-Founder. He began with American Surgical’s Leadership Team as VP of Central Region, a role in which he forged a cohesive and focused team in the Midwest. Aragon later assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer in June of 2014. He is a foreign medical graduate with a partial general surgery residency from Mexico, and is currently striving towards acquiring his Masters in Medical Management.
Director of Sales and Market Development
Steven Segesman joined American Surgical Professionals as the Director of Sales and Market Development in July 2017. Segesman brings over fifteen years of in depth experience in the business of surgical assisting from his time with Intralign Health (previously known as United Surgical Assistants) where he served as the Director of Strategic Sales and Client Relations. Prior to his time with Intralign, Steven was a P.G.A. Golf Professional for 12 years, which helped spur his devotion to customer service. Steven has a BS in Business Administration from Furman University in Greenville, SC.
