American Surgical Assistants announces new Chief Development Officer

HOUSTON, TX—American Surgical Assistants is pleased to announce the hiring of Doug Bohrer as Chief Development Officer. In this role, Bohrer will focus on market development and marketing.

Bohrer arrives at American Surgical Assistants as Chief Development Officer with more than fourteen years in sales and marketing with several reputable health and health technology companies. Most recently, he acted as Vice President of North American Sales for Kinetic Concepts, Inc., a worldwide leader in high-technology therapies and products for the wound-care regenerative medicine and therapeutic-support system markets; there, he launched key business processes that reversed eleven quarters of declining sales. Prior to his role at Kinetic, Bohrer led a 400-person sales force responsible for the sale of wound-healing devices at Active Healing Solution. He also spent several years at Johnson & Johnson, successfully presiding over a variety of products in the health field. Additionally, Bohrer served in the U.S. Armed Services as a Captain for five years.
