Pruitt accepts new role as VP of Operations, TX


American Surgical Professionals | Houston, TX – Effective August 1, 2014, Kirk Pruitt, Regional Manager-Beaumont TX has assumed the additional leadership responsibilities for the operations in the remainder Texas. In this new role he will become the VP Operations –Texas and will report directly to Luis Aragon, Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, Kirk will oversee all of the Regional Managers and the Houston management team to ensure that all cases are serviced with the highest degree of professionalism, while continuously interfacing with our key hospital accounts and physicians in order to better understand their needs. In conjunction with all of the Managers in Texas, he will optimize our existing tactical processes and also formulate a strategic plan for growing our business within Texas.  He will coordinate effective communications and look for ways to improve the efficiency of our information flows between the Texas operations and our corporate staff functions. In addition, Kirk will ensure that all employees in Texas participate in the Company’s career development and performance review process.

Since joining ASP in October 2012, Kirk has made major contributions to the Beaumont TX in terms of profitably growing this business. Going forward he will continue to look after key clients in Beaumont in addition to his new responsibilities.

Tom Kirk joined American Surgical Professionals as Chief Executive Officer in June of 2013. Prior to joining American Surgical Professionals, Mr. Kirk served as CEO and Director of Hanger, Inc. in Austin, TX, as well as Principal at Jay Alix & Associates in Southfield, MI. He has also held several leadership positions in large corporations serving in many positions, including finance, planning, and market development. Tom Kirk holds a PhD and an MBA from University of Pittsburgh, and a BS in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
