The Winds of Change are a’ Blowin’
American Surgical Professionals | Houston, TX – Doug Bohrer, Chief Development Officer has made the decision to leave the company and to join a private equity firm based in Florida in July. Over the past two plus years, Doug has led our geographic expansion. Through his efforts, the company’s footprint was expanded significantly beyond Houston, TX. In addition, he was the inspiration behind our rebranding, recruiting and active management programs. He has made a significant contribution to building what we have in place today and we owe him a great deal.
Effective June 23, 2014, Luis Aragon, VP, Central Region assumed the new position of Chief Operating Officer. Since joining the company over a year ago, he has forged a cohesive and focused team in the Midwest. In his new company wide role he will have responsibility for our clinical recruiting and retention of assistants, scheduling, facility relationships, revenues and profits, as well as expanding the number of our surgical assisting accounts. Luis and his wife Emma will relocate to the Houston area later this year.
Also effective June 23rd, Fernando Garza, Northern Illinois Regional Director, assumed the responsibilities of VP, Central Region. Fernando joined the company with the acquisition of Allied Alpha Assistants, inc. about one year ago, and during this period he has brought a consistent vision and sense of purpose to our operations and relationships. He will continue to expand the current operations in the Midwest with the special goal of increasing our revenues from our accounts and for the region.
Doug, Luis and Fernando will be working together in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition of the key responsibilities. Please join me in wishing Doug success in his new endeavors and to Luis and Fernando as they ramp up in their new positions.
